1. Information We Collect
When you use FurNote, we may collect the following personal information:
- Account data: email address, display name
- Pet data: name, species, breed, birthday, health records
- Uploaded photos and files
- Usage analytics (feature usage, navigation)
2. How We Use Your Data
- Providing and maintaining FurNote's core features
- Health reminders (vaccination, medication, supply stock)
- Sharing pet records with veterinarians at your explicit request
- Service quality improvement and UX research
3. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored in Supabase (managed PostgreSQL)
- All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS
- Row-level security (RLS) isolates each user's data
- Photos and files live in Supabase Storage; only signed URLs issued to authorised viewers can read them
4. Third-party Services
We share only the minimum data needed with:
- Supabase (Supabase Inc., USA) — database, storage, authentication
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) — hosting, anonymous Vercel Analytics traffic, Speed Insights performance monitoring
- Cloudflare (USA) — CDN and DDoS protection
- Google / LINE — third-party sign-in providers
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) — anonymous analytics with IP anonymisation; no personal profiling
- Brevo (formerly Sendinblue, France / EU) — transactional email delivery
- Sentry (Functional Software, USA) — error tracking; collects stack traces and device metadata
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. Using FurNote implies consent to the data flows described above.
5. Data Sharing
We only share your data with veterinarians or third parties when you explicitly export or share it. We never sell, rent, or provide your personal data to marketing partners.
6. Cookies & Tracking
- Essential cookies: maintain your signed-in session and language preference
- Analytics cookies: anonymous GA4 page views; no personal identification
- Performance monitoring: anonymous Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights metrics
We do not use advertising cookies, do not sell data to ad networks, and do not perform cross-site tracking.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Your data is retained in Supabase while your account is active. Export it any time via Settings → Export (CSV or PDF).
- After requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day retention window (you cannot sign in during this period). To cancel deletion, email [email protected] within those 30 days.
- After 30 days your account, all pet records, uploaded photos, and personal data are permanently deleted.
- Google Analytics anonymous data is auto-purged after GA4's default 14-month retention.
7.1 Your Data Subject Rights
Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (and equivalent regimes such as GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your data: Settings → Export (CSV / PDF)
- Receive a portable copy: CSV export
- Rectify your data: edit records directly in the app
- Restrict processing: email [email protected]
- Request erasure: Settings → Delete account (permanent after 30-day window)
8. Children's Privacy
FurNote is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided data without guardian consent, please contact us.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. When that happens we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of FurNote after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
This policy aligns with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act and Apple App Store requirements.
